Investments and policy reforms in this sector largely support Tourism, a sector that has been prioritized to accelerate economic growth together with Agriculture and Mining.

Opportunities to unlock

Upgrading ports and vessels on Lake Malawi and other major water bodies. Construction of Likoma Port is now at an advanced stage and the project will be finalized in the coming months

Develop docking facilities and training institutions for water transport management
