10,000 Staff Houses for Security Agencies

The President has over the past four years honoured his pledge to improve the welfare of members of the of security agencies namely Malawi Police Service, Malawi Defence Force, Department of Immigration Services and Malawi Prison Services.

The administration is constructing 10,000 staff houses for these institutions. Malawi Police Service and Malawi Defence Force have been allocated 4000 units each while the Immigration and Prison staff have an even share on the remaining 2000 units.

Across the length and breadth of Malawi, rural and urban areas, these beautiful houses are at different stages of completion.

The houses are categorized from two aspects in light of rank. Senior staff are habiting three-bedroom houses with ensuite master bedrooms and carports. On the other hand, junior staff are occupying three-bedroom houses with shared washrooms.

Testimonies of happy officers in all these four institutions have already been told countrywide. On the flipside, there is already an aura of improved work ethic and proven efficiency due to this transformative initiative.
