Chitipa Stadium

The K720 million project is a momentous sports infrastructure in the border district. Once it gets operational it will spur socioeconomic and recreational activities for the bustling community.         

As of early 2025, the construction of Chitipa Stadium was at 99% completion, only remaining with minor touches remaining.

President Lazarus Chakwera has shown keen interest in the project, visiting the construction site and expressing his commitment to ensuring its completion.

He has time and again emphasized the importance of the stadium for the people of Chitipa, a district he plans to transform into an economic hub on the Northern Trade Corridor.
