Zomba Stadium

The Zomba Stadium project is a significant infrastructure initiative in Malawi’s old capital. It was initiated to transform the former Zomba Community Centre Ground into a modern sports facility.

After stalling for years prior to 2020, the project found momentum with the commitment of President Chakwera’s administration which has consistently pumped in funds to make sure the infrastructure is ready for use.

It has been earmarked to have a capacity of 20,000 upon completion and will reawaken sports excellence in the university city.
